How much do I pay?

The amount of child support that a parent pays is usually determined by the Texas Family Code and is usually based upon the income of the parent paying support. The amount of child support can also be adjusted. If there are material and substantial changes in circumstances, such as job loss or advancement, increased expenses, health-related issues, or custody changes, you can seek a modification of the original order, either increasing or decreasing the amount of child support to be paid.

Child Support Enforcement

In an ideal world, couples would always be able to reach an agreement. If you cannot, or the non-custodial parent simply refuses to pay, you still have options. Many times the court will order that the support be paid directly by an employer. If you are not receiving the child support you are due, I can help you enforce the court's order and obtain the support your children deserve.
